A well-known North Wales theme park attraction has officially been put up for sale, marking a significant moment for one of the region’s most established family destinations.

Located near Bethel between Bangor and Caernarfon, GreenWood Family Park has built a strong reputation as one of North Wales’ leading family attractions.
The park was originally founded by Stephen and Andrea Bristow in the early 1990s. Starting from a simple piece of grazing land, the couple spent more than two decades transforming the site into a thriving tourism business.
Today, the attraction draws around 150,000 visitors each year, thanks to its mix of eco-friendly rides, outdoor play areas, and family-focused experiences.
Change of Ownership – Again
GreenWood Family Park was previously sold in 2017 to Continuum Attractions, a company that owns and operates a range of visitor experiences across the UK.
Now, after nearly a decade under Continuum’s ownership, the park has been placed back on the market through Newmark.
The asking price has been set at £1.25 million, positioning it as a potentially attractive opportunity for investors in the leisure and tourism sector.
Significant Investment in Recent Years
Despite the sale, the current owners have continued to invest heavily in the park.
It has been revealed that around £1.5 million has been spent over the past seven years, helping to maintain and enhance the attraction’s offering. This investment has likely contributed to keeping visitor numbers strong and the park competitive within the UK’s crowded theme park market.
What This Means for the Future
The sale raises questions about what comes next for the popular attraction.
With strong annual footfall and an established brand, GreenWood Family Park could appeal to a wide range of potential buyers—from independent operators to larger leisure groups looking to expand their portfolio.
For now, the park continues to operate as normal, but any future owner could bring new developments, expansions, or changes to the site.
A Key Player in North Wales Tourism
As one of the region’s most recognisable family attractions, the future of GreenWood Family Park will be closely watched.
Tourism plays a vital role in the North Wales economy, and destinations like this are essential in drawing visitors to the area year after year.
Whether the next chapter brings growth, redevelopment, or a continuation of its current success, one thing is certain—this sale marks a major turning point in the park’s history.
