A brand-new Viking adventure is heading to Paultons Park in 2027, as the park has officially announced Serpent’s Curse — a thrilling custom-built MACK Rides water coaster set within the ever-expanding Valgard: Realm of the Vikings.

Promising dramatic storytelling, powerful launches, sweeping turns and an enormous splashdown finale, Serpent’s Curse is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most ambitious attractions in the park’s history.

Expanding Valgard: Realm of the Vikings

Valgard: Realm of the Vikings has quickly become one of the standout themed lands at Paultons Park. The area already offers immersive Norse-inspired scenery, family attractions and interactive experiences, but Serpent’s Curse is set to become its headline attraction.

The addition of a major water coaster also gives the park something entirely new within its ride lineup. While Paultons Park has become famous for family attractions and themed experiences, this project signals an even greater push into large-scale immersive thrill rides.

Fans have already begun comparing the attraction to some of Europe’s best water coasters, although Paultons has confirmed that Serpent’s Curse will be a completely custom layout built specifically for the park and its Viking setting.

Opening in 2027

Construction has already started around the Valgard area. Although an exact opening date has not yet been revealed, Serpent’s Curse is officially scheduled to debut during the 2027 season.
